Pink’s Australian Summer Carnival stadium tour got off to an unexpected start as a fan went into labor during the first night in Sydney on Friday.
The renowned singer halted the show to acknowledge the momentous occasion, expressing amusement at her crew’s attempt to convey the news through miming.
Addressing the expectant mother in the audience, Pink humorously inquired, “Is it Alicia or Alex being born?” After jokingly suggesting privacy for the impending arrival, she revealed the unborn baby hadn’t entered the world yet and playfully credited her song, ‘Our Song,’ for triggering the labor.
“I thought it would’ve been ‘Get The Party Started’ or ‘Never Not Gonna Dance Again,'” Pink quipped. Offering her congratulations, she encouraged the mom, stating, “You’re gonna do great!”
Shortly thereafter, Pink brought her 12-year-old daughter, Willow, on stage to perform their single, “Cover Me in Sunshine.”

This incident isn’t the first time Pink’s concert has coincided with a fan going into labor. In a previous August tour date in Boston, a woman named Angela Mercer found herself in labor and chose to walk about a mile from the venue, Fenway Park, to the hospital to avoid traffic.
Pink, 44, who shares two children, Willow and 7-year-old son Jameson, with husband Carey Hart, has been balancing her tour with family time. She recently shared moments from Bondi Beach in Australia on Instagram, expressing gratitude to the country for being their home away from home.
