Nicki Minaj is the face of the new diesel campaign.
The 35-year-old rapper appeared in the 2018 Fall / Winter Haute Couture Italian brand alongside stars such as Gucci Mane, Bella Thorne, Yoo Ah-In, Miles Heizer and Tommy Dorman. The campaign aims to combat cyberbullying by displaying polarized news shirts that the ambassadors received in real life. In a video of the brand, a cell phone is lying on the ground lying on the mass negative messages addressed to the ‘Chun Li’ rapper, especially the expression “Bad Guy”. Nicki finally enters the picture, with long blue hair and an oversized leather jacket printed with the said message. It gives the camera a shocked facial expression.
The 20-year-old Bella is shown in a T-shirt with “Sch *****” written on it, dancing provocatively behind a glass screen while 38-year-old Gucci smiles broadly in a F *** You, swindler “shirt can be seen. The video ends with snapshots of the celebrities and the message: “The more hatred you carry, the less you care.” Diesel brand founder Renzo Rose revealed that she wanted to create a controversial irony with her pieces and leave a comment on our current way of communicating. In an official statement, she said, “That’s the way we need to communicate today, we need to adopt the lifestyle and the irony.”
The clothing marketed in advertising is sold in select diesel stores and online. Customers will also get the opportunity to print individual slogans next month. All proceeds from the collection will be donated to support anti-bullying organizations.
