Nicki Minaj is coming with a six-episode docuseries on HBO Max, the rapper tells Instagram . The series will provide a “raw and unfiltered” look into her personal life and career.
“I’m so happy to have HBO Max on board to help me tell my story in this memorable way. A way my fans will love. This documentary is great, I promise. I can’t wait to get it over with. to share with you, “said Minaj.
Minaj takes her fans to some of the most “challenging and satisfying” times of her life, according to Variety . The project is being directed by Michael John Warren, who made his directorial debut with JAY-Z’s Fade to Black . Minaj is an executive producer herself.
“Nicki Minaj is a versatile artist, businesswoman and innovator, but also a force to be reckoned with. It is a privilege to bring this project to HBO Max and give our viewers unprecedented access to her life,” said Sarah Aubrey, head of original content at HBO Max.
Each episode lasts half an hour. It is not yet known what the docuseries will be called.
