New Book Claims Meghan Markle Identified Two Members of Royal Household in Racist Comments Row
As the British royal family finds itself yet again at the center of controversy, a forthcoming book is set to reignite tensions. Omid Scobie’s upcoming release, “Endgame,” reportedly includes revelations from Meghan Markle, who allegedly named two members of the Royal Household involved in discussions about the skin color of her unborn child.
Following Markle and Prince Harry’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey three years ago, where they disclosed a family member’s concern about Archie’s skin tone, new claims have surfaced. The Sun reports that, according to Scobie’s book, Markle shared further details in a series of letters exchanged with King Charles in the spring of 2021, subsequent to the Winfrey interview.
While the identity of the second person remains undisclosed, it is unclear whether they are a family member or a staff member within the royal household. The first individual was never publicly named, with Harry and Meghan clarifying that it was neither the Queen nor the Duke of Edinburgh. The Queen responded at the time, expressing concern about the allegations but acknowledging that “recollections may vary.”
Earlier this year, during the promotion of his memoir “Spare,” Prince Harry denied accusations of racism made by him and Meghan Markle, stating that their concerns were centered on “unconscious bias.”
Omid Scobie, who previously authored “Finding Freedom,” a biography of Harry and Meghan, is behind the forthcoming book. While the royal couple initially claimed they had not collaborated with Scobie on their biography, a court case last year revealed that they provided information through an intermediary. Scobie maintains that they did not contribute to his latest book.
