Netflix plans to create animation series based on Roald Dahl’s books. The streaming service has made a deal with the heirs of the famous children’s book author.

FELICITY DAHL, WIDOW OF ROALD DAHL WHO DIED IN 1999, IS PLEASED WITH THE PLANS. “OUR GOAL IS TO ENABLE AS MANY CHILDREN IN THE WORLD AS POSSIBLE TO EXPERIENCE THE UNIQUE MAGIC AND POSITIVE MESSAGE OF ROALD DAHL’S STORIES,” SHE SAYS IN A STATEMENT. “ROALD WOULD BE VERY HAPPY WITH THIS, I’M SURE.”
NETFLIX STARTS PRODUCTION OF THE SERIES EARLY NEXT YEAR.
