Naomi Watts will co-star with Bobby Cannavale in The Watcher , a new miniseries created by Ryan Murphy (Ratched, Hollywood). According to Deadline , the two actors will play a married couple in the Netflix miniseries.
The couple from the six-part short series have just moved into their dream home, where their safety is threatened by a stalker.
The Watcher is inspired by a true story about a couple who bought a house in New Jersey and then receive letters from someone who calls themselves ‘the watcher’. These letters state that the person has been watching the house for years and “demands the blood” of the new residents.
It’s not the first time Watts and Cannavale have starred in a production together. They can also be seen together in the drama film This is the Night , which will be released later this year.
Murphy entered into a multi-year agreement with Netflix in 2019 and will produce several (mini) series for the streaming service in the coming years. His series Halston recently appeared , starring Ewan McGregor.
