2 people died and 1 wounded at the Shops at Merrick Park when a gunman opened fire this afternoon Saturday.
Abeku Wilson aged 33 bodybuilder who was a personal trainer at the Equinox fitness center at Coral Gables was apparently got fired from his job shot down one of his co worker and also wounded seriously another and also shot himself.
Shops at the Merrick Park mall shut down after shooting and people ran to the secure them self towards the surrounding streets, most of the them were in exercise clothes.
According to a witness from the gym Abeku Wilson left the gym before some time and turned back to the gym and opened fire with his handgun.
According to other witnesses Wilson shot Akerman the gym’s Gernal Manager, and Marios Hortis a fitness manager.
Police force immediate after the shooting and a Police helicopter landed at Merrick Park Coral Gables for help.
Former Miami Commisioner Marc Sarnoff said describing the shooter as a “Very nice guy.” he said Wilson was a personal trainer and he also trained him and his wife.
A statement from authorities “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families impacted by this terrible tragedy. Out of respect for them and our entire Equinox family, we will refrain from commenting further until it is appropriate to do so.”
