Megyn Kelly has labeled the public revelation of TJ Holmes and Amy Robach’s affair as a “huge mistake in public relations” on ABC’s part.
The host expressed her criticism of the two individuals after pictures emerged showing them engaged in a display of affection just hours after they officially left the network following the signing of their exit papers.
During the Monday episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show” on Sirius XM radio, the prominent media figure stated, “People don’t see this as a symbol of true love.”

“They were unfaithful to their partners and their children. Infidelity is a sad reality, acknowledge it as such. Stop pretending that you don’t care about the harm you cause,” Kelly further commented.
The Holmes-Robach Affair
The revelation of the affair between the married “Good Morning America” co-anchors, Holmes and Robach, in November of last year, sparked intense scrutiny. The situation prompted an internal investigation that ultimately uncovered that Holmes had allegedly been involved with three other ABC employees.

ABC released a statement last week confirming the departures of Holmes and Robach, referring to the scandal and its aftermath as a “distraction” for the network personnel.
Kelly argued that the two individuals took the wrong approach in addressing the scandal and have been frequently seen together in recent weeks.
“In my opinion, they could have handled the situation differently,” Kelly said. “They could have appeared on the show the next day, made a public apology, acknowledged that this was a private matter that they wanted to resolve in private because of their children and spouses. But the Daily Mail report made that impossible. They could have announced that they would take a leave of absence to deal with this and hoped to regain the trust and forgiveness of the public when they return.”
“After that, they should have kept a low profile,” Kelly continued. “But instead, they staged very obvious and well-orchestrated photo opportunities in South Beach, kissing and embracing each other, while their spouses, who they cheated on, posted pictures of themselves looking sad with their children, who seem extremely upset. This was a major public relations mistake, in my opinion, and they 100% planned and executed it.”
