The singer revealed the details of her childhood in an autobiographical book.
Following Paris Hilton, Mariah Carey decided to share the details of her difficult youth. Soon her memoirs will go on sale, but for now the singer talks about her difficult life in an interview. Carey recently spoke with Oprah Winfrey, who was surprised to read an excerpt from Mariah’s book:
When I was 12, my sister pumped me valium, offered me cocaine, gave me third-degree burns, and tried to sell me to a pimp.
Carey’s older sister, Alison, once worked as a prostitute and is HIV positive. Rumor has it that she lost all of her teeth and now desperately needs money to restore them. She recently filed a lawsuit against her mother, accusing her of allowing adult men to “have sexual intercourse,” including with her, when she was 10 years old. Alison claims that her and Mariah’s mother participated in satanic services, during which sacrifices and orgies took place. However, there is no evidence of this.
Mariah also has an older brother, but, according to her, she hardly knows her brother and sister:
We practically don’t know each other … When I was born, they were already on their way and, it seems to me, were already traumatized. But, again, I was not there. It was as if I was thrown into this world, and all the way I felt like an outsider in my own family. They lived with mom and black dad, and I already lived only with mom [Carey’s parents divorced when she was three]. They always thought I had an easy life, but that’s not the case.
Mariah also calls her brother and sister ex-brother and sister, and calls her mother only by name – Patricia.
