The publication has compiled a ranking of celebrities who determine the future of their industry.
The other day, Time magazine for the first time in its history published a TIME 100 Next rating, which included artists, musicians, and businessmen. The publication believes that it is possible to become a “rising star at any age”, therefore, it does not limit applicants to the age range.
Five nominations are presented in a rating: “Artists”, “Nuggets”, “Leaders”, “Defenders” and “Innovators”. Among the “Artists” Camila Cabello took the first place. She gained fame after participating in the television show The X Factor in 2012. In 2017, her solo single Havana topped the charts in many countries, including the Billboard Hot 100, and her 2018 debut studio album Camila was number one on the Billboard 200.
Lily Reinhart, best known for her role as Betty Cooper in the Riverdale television series, also entered the Top Artists. Not far behind colleagues and Billy Islish – a 17-year-old singer, whom fans consider a child prodigy. This year, she released a series of hits that were included in that Billboard Hot 100.
The actor Noah Sentineo, known for his role as Jesus Foster in the last three seasons of the television series “Fosters”, also fell into this category. In the Leaders category, the first place went to Carlos Alvarado Quesada – the president of Costa Rica, a journalist, politician and political scientist.
In the Nuggets category, Zainon Williamson, an NBA New Orleans Pelicans player, became the first.
“Innovators” was led by Emily Weiss, founder of Into the Gloss blog and the cosmetics brand Glossier.
The leader in the Defenders category was the American actress and singer Norma Lum, known under the pseudonym Awkwafina.
