It will take a while before Lady Gaga can return home. The singer left her villa last week to flee the forest fires in California and do not expect to return for Thanksgiving.
“There is still a lot of smoke”
“There is still a lot of smoke,” Gaga said to Variety on Sunday. “I do not know when I can go back, but I am grateful, very grateful.” Although a number of items were damaged by the fire, her house has been spared.
Other stars were less fortunate. The houses of, among others, Miley Cyrus and Neil Young were seriously damaged and the villas of Robin Thicke and Gerard Butler burned down completely. Thicke, his pregnant girlfriend April Love Geary and their children just managed to escape from the fire.
Gaga visited a fire station in Los Angeles on Saturday to thank the firefighters for their work and took meatballs and pasta with them. She previously shared pizza and coffee in an evacuation center in the city. “I find it so bad for everyone, people lose all their possessions, I plan to do more, to do what I can to help.”
