It seems that Kanye West (42) is releasing a new album on 27 September. That can be deduced from a photo that wife Kim Kardashian (38) shared on Instagram. The album is going to be called Jesus is King, as can be seen on the snapshot of a notepad with the name of the album, the song titles and the date.
The songs also seem to refer to religion thanks to titles such as God Is, Sweet Jesus and Baptized. Earlier the rapper, who is a Christian, said that his new album would be called Yandhi, whether the title has been changed or that that album is coming, is not clear.
For Kanye, who raps more often about religion, faith has gained an increasing role in recent months. The 42-year-old rapper holds his so-called Sunday Service on a weekly basis. During this service inspired by traditional church services, he performs songs while assisted by a band and full gospel choir. In April the rapper ‘preached’ for 50,000 festival goers at the American Coachella. Due to the growing interest in his Sunday Mass, Kanye would also be planning to start his own church.
Jesus is King is the rapper’s ninth studio album. Pastor Ye appeared last June.
