Kevin Hart is not aware of how things went about the Oscar presentation. In The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday night the comedian said he had no regrets and that he would not change anything about the way he approached the situation.
On Wednesday morning it was finally announced that Hart will not present the Oscars anyway. The comedian used to do his job when he criticized homophobic comments and jokes he had made in the past. “I apologized, I apologized again, I apologized after that apology, I’m done with it, I’ve done it, I’m over it.”
After Colbert had stated that he also said things in the past, Hart said there was a “difference”. “You can satisfy others in the knowledge that you have done everything possible to please, and if it still is not right, you must make a decision that you are ready to try,” Hart explains. “My work is to bring myself out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and there’s no version of me that’s fake.”
Although he saw the Oscar presentation pass by his nose, Hart tells us that he had already thought up some jokes. He would, among other things, try out Nicole Kidman and her special way of applauding, as well as a screaming Meryl Streep and Denzel Washington wearing a cap. It is still unclear who will be presenting the show at the end of February. According to the latest rumors, the task would be divided among several stars.
