John Travolta’s wife, who died Sunday, worked alongside Judi Dench as she desperately struggled to survive.
Before she died, Kelly Preston managed to fulfill her dream of working with Judi Dench. The actress, who died of breast cancer on Sunday (12), filmed with the English actress while secretly battling the disease.
The two actresses teamed up on-screen for Jules Williamson’s comedy Off the Rails, and in an April 2019 social media post, Kelly commented on working with one of her heroes.
“The dream came true today, filming with Dame Judi Dench in London @offtherailsfilms,” Preston wrote under a photo of her and her co-stars, including Jenny Seagrove and Peter Bowles.
“Goodbye London … goodbye Judi … everyone who worked hard at #offtherailsfilm I LOVED every moment of this movie!” she added
Kelly also planned to participate in the remake of the movie 52 Pick-Up (1986) with her schoolmate, director Rod Lurie.
The principal tweeted, “I met #KellyPreston in high school. She was supernaturally beautiful and kind. The last time we spoke, we discussed my direction in a new version of 52-PICK UP, in which I would play the role of Ann-Margret. It would be special for us alumni of @PunahouSchool, “he said.
Off the Rails is in post-production, with no release date yet.
