The Kelly Clarkson Show takes over from The Ellen DeGeneres Show in NBC programming . Presenter DeGeneres recently announced that she would stop with the show after nineteen seasons.
Starting next year, the talk show of singer Clarkson can therefore be seen every afternoon at 3 p.m. (local time) on NBC. Clarkson’s program, which has been airing since 2019, will run through at least 2023. The Kelly Clarkson Show is currently showing just before DeGeneres, at 2:00 pm. It is not yet known what will come her way.
DeGeneres made the decision to quit herself, she said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter . “If you are a creative person, you want to be challenged all the time. And that is no longer the case,” said the presenter.
DeGeneres previously confessed to struggling with the pressure of making 180 episodes a year. In 2018 she signed another three-year contract. When this contract ends, the comedian will stop with her show.
In the summer of 2020, a number of (former) employees from the school clapped about the unhealthy atmosphere in the workplace at the program. There would be sexual harassment, racism and sexism. DeGeneres publicly apologized for this in September.
