Kelly Clarkson (39) is not planning to pay her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock (45) a cent too much after their divorce. The singer and presenter of her own talk show does not want to settle with her ex, a source tells the magazine ‘Us Weekly’.
“It’s Gonna Be”
According to an insider, Kelly is busy preparing for the lawsuit in which it is decided how the divorce will be further financially settled. “When she’s not shooting her talk show, she’s sitting with her lawyer Laura Wasser,” the source said.
Kelly and Brandon announced in June 2020 that they were splitting after seven years of marriage. Since then, the two have been engaged in a legal battle in which the singer does not intend to settle with her ex. “He will not get a cent from her that the judge has not said she should pay out. It is going to be,” the source expects.
Earlier, the court ruled that Kelly, known for the hits ‘Since U Been Gone’ and ‘Because of You’, had to relinquish five percent of the value of the Montana ranch that she shared with her husband to Brandon. That would equate to about $900,000.
