The movie Jumanji: Welcome to the jungle has been a hit at the box office for a month.
At the head of the US box office for five weeks, the new Jumanji could get a result very quickly. Asked by the Wall Street Journal, Tom Rothman, the boss of Sony, said he would like to see the sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the jungle come out for Christmas 2019. A not-so-surprising decision when you watch the incredible recipes of Jake Kasdan’s feature film: the film has already grossed more than $ 770 million worldwide.
The studio has not yet confirmed this information, but the boss of Sony would like the quartet formed by Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Black Jack and Karen Gillan is also in the game.
Clash of the Titans?
The new film Jumanji could compete directly with Star Wars 9, already scheduled for December 18, 2019, if the date envisaged by Tom Rothman was confirmed. The second installment of the saga – Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is the sequel to the 1995 film with Robin Williams – only released a week after The Last Jedi, but still managed to explode the box office. Jumanji 2 is Dwayne Johnson’s biggest hit after Fast & Furious 7 and 8.
