Julia Roberts (54) struggled with loneliness during the corona crisis. The actress tells this in conversation with ‘The New York Times’. According to Julia, George (61) and Amal Clooney (44) “saved her from extreme loneliness and despair” during that period.
“I’ve never been away from my family for so long”
Julia and the Clooneys were both on Australia’s Hamilton Island for the shooting of the upcoming movie Ticket to Paradise , which will feature both movie stars. “The shooting was in the middle of the wild birds,” George explains in the interview. “Julia slept in the house below mine, Amal and the kids. Early in the morning I pretended to be a bird and shouted ‘Caa-caa’. And then Julia did the same. Then we brought her a cup of coffee. To my children, she was Aunt Julia.”
For Julia, the contact with the Clooney’s was very pleasant. “We were isolated in a bubble. I’ve never been away from my family for so long. The last time I didn’t see my family for such a long time was when I was 25.”
Julia and George are both also producers of the movie Ticket to Paradise. The film will be released in Australia and the United Kingdom in September. The film will be released in the United States a month later. The film tells the story of two divorced parents who travel after their daughter to Bali to prevent her from marrying a boy who lives on the island.
