Joey “Jaws” Chestnut has broke his own record and regained the Mustard Yellow International
Belt on Monday after eating 70 Hot dogs and buns beating Matt “Megatoad” Stonie, an American
competitive eater and is the number one ranked competitive eater in Major League Eating.
This early title was easily secured by Chestnut by eating 17 more hot dogs than Stonie. Eating
of 70 hot dogs and buns is the most hot dogs eaten ever in the competition. Previously in 2015 a
record was set by Chestnut by eating 69 hot dogs in just 10 minutes. Where was according to
official 73.5 hot dogs and buns were eaten by Chestnut in qualifying round event.
After grabbing the Mustard Yellow International Belt Chestnut said Stonie had “woke up the sleeping giant” he also said “last year was rough and this year was the best ever.”
