In a new Uber Eats commercial, Jennifer Aniston appears to have momentarily forgotten her iconic ’90s hairstyle, known as “The Rachel,” from her days as Rachel Green on the popular sitcom “Friends.”
The ad showcases Aniston promoting her haircare line, LolaVie, with an Uber Eats delivery bag.
In the commercial, a man expresses surprise at the availability of LolaVie products on Uber Eats, to which Aniston responds humorously, “Well, you know they say, in order to remember something, you have to forget something else.” She then admires a woman’s haircut, unaware that it’s the famous “The Rachel” style.
Confusion ensues as the woman tries to remind Aniston of the iconic hairstyle, leading to a humorous exchange where Aniston claims her name is Jen and seems oblivious to the “Friends” connection. The commercial follows a Super Bowl ad where Aniston also forgot her former co-star David Schwimmer.
Initially debuted on TODAY on Feb. 6, the Uber Eats commercial featured additional celebrities like Usher, Jelly Roll, and David and Victoria Beckham, emphasizing that Uber Eats delivers more than just food. Aniston’s forgetfulness, reminiscent of the Super Bowl ad, has garnered attention and sparked amusement among viewers.
Notably, the original Super Bowl commercial faced criticism for including a scene featuring a man having an allergic reaction to peanut butter. In response to backlash, Uber Eats announced the removal of the controversial scene from the commercial.
