The information, revealed by Variety on May 16, was confirmed in the magazine this Friday by the Warner, stating that the actor had signed for three films. The filming of “The Batman”, directed by Matt Reeves, director of the last two installments of “The Planet of the Apes”, will begin this summer for a release scheduled for June 25, 2021.
Robert Pattinson, 33, succeeds Ben Affleck, who had never really convinced in the costume of the cult superhero of DC Comics. Before them, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney and Christian Bale lent their features to the character created by Bob Kane in 1939.
