A sixth film in the ‘Scream’ series is in the works. Paramount and Spyglass, the production companies that make the film, announced this in The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday.

The decision to make a sequel to the successful horror series comes after the success of the fifth part. “We are extremely grateful to the fans around the world who have enthusiastically received our film,” the makers said in a statement. “We can’t wait for the public to see what the writers have in store for our Woodsboro family.”
The Scream movies are set in the fictional town of Woodsboro, where murders are regularly committed. The perpetrator is wearing a mask inspired by Edvard Munch’s famous painting The Scream.
Scream 5 , the most recent installment in the series, has already grossed tens of millions in the United States and thus briefly conquered the first place in the list of most visited films. Scream 5 also did well in the rest of the world . A total of 18 million dollars was converted in other countries.
