Gerard Butler calls for the support offered to him after the fire to be given to those who need it.

Gerard Butler, 49, has called for donations on Instagram following the California forest firesand shared a video of his street and his former home. With a breathing mask and visibly shocked, the actor walks through the ruin of his estate: “It’s completely gone.” It was heartbreaking, said the native Scot, all other houses in his street had burned down. “What a difference a day can make in a community …”

 

In the caption, Butler thanks the firemen and calls his followers for donations. The support offered to him was to be given to the Californians who needed it. Butler shares a link to the crowdfunding platform Gofundme.com, which is currently soliciting donations from over 70 families and communities who have lost their livelihoods through the fire.
