Hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar (30) has received the Pulitzer Prize for his album ‘Damn’. It has been awarded since the 1940s, but it is the first time that it does not go to classical music or jazz.
Hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar (30) is one of the best and most influential pop artists of the moment, and it looks like he will stay that for years to come. He released his album ‘Damn’ on April 14, 2017. Some critics praise Lamar as if he were the new James Brown, David Bowie or Prince. Lamar sounds different on every record, and like his legendary predecessors, he renews himself time after time. On Saturday 18 August the American rapper Kendrick Lamar comes to Pukkelpop. In 2013 he was already on the main stage there.
Twitter exploded just about after the Pulitzer was handed out. The reactions are unanimously favorable. “Historically”, it sounds different times.
KENDRICK LAMAR WON A DAMN PULITZER. LEGEND. THE LITERARY GENIUS OF KENDRICK LAMAR STRIKES AGAIN!!!!
