Giants of internet are teaming up to eradicate the hate speech content from their social media plate forms. Any content containing violent or illegal material such as hate speech or any hatred material going on viral would be removed from the net within 24 hours of its posting.
Youtube, Twitter, Facebook and Microsoft are taking steps to train their staff related to hate speech issues and tackle the problem faced due to hatred speech.
According to the statement given by EU justice commissioner in charge of the issue said “SOCIAL MEDIA IS UNFORTUNATELY ONE OF THE TOOLS THAT TERRORIST GROUPS USE TO RADICALIZE YOUNG PEOPLE AND RACISTS USE TO SPREAD VIOLENCE AND HATRED,” SHE SAID.
