Halle Berry stands for her directorial debut. She will direct the mixed martial arts action drama Bruised. She will also take the lead role in the film. Keanu Reeves is her opponent.
For Bruised, the now 52-year-old Halle is working with the stunt people with whom she also worked on the new John Wick film John Wick 3: Parabellum.
The recordings begin according to the American entertainment website Deadline in March next year.
The new film, whose script was written by Michelle Rosenfarb, is about an MMA fighter who is reunited with her son. At the beginning of her career she had let the child down to work towards an important duel.
‘I have never trained so hard’
Berry is busy. Besides John Wick 3: Parabellum and Bruised she will soon be seen in the remake of the thriller Jagged Edge from 1985. On Instagram she said she would like to take more action roles.
“I’ve never trained so hard in my life and I’ve become a better person,” she says about the preparations for the action films.
