A brand new version of the cult series Gossip Girl will see the light of day!
This announcement of the Warner Media group has had the effect of a real bomb this afternoon!
This new version will be presented on the HBO Max broadcast platform. The company has commissioned 10 ” long episodes ” for the first season of Gossip Girl .
Small flat for fans: no character of the original version will be back! Blake Lively, who played the luminous Serena Van Der Woodsen, and Leighton Meester , who starred in the irrepressible Blair Waldorf, are not in the plans.
The famous narrator, Kirsten Bell , is also removed from the equation.
The action will take place 8 years after the end of the last episode. We will be introduced to a whole new generation of wealthy students going to private school in Manhattan. The creators of Gossip Girl , Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, will act as executive producers.
