Gabrielle Union has been cast in the lead role in the upcoming romantic comedy movie ‘The Perfect Find’, which will be released on Netflix.
Stuart Ford’s AGC Studios is funding and producing the film along with Union and its producer I’ll Have Another.
Based on Tia Williams’ bestselling book of the same name, the film will be directed by Numa Perrier, whose directorial debut Jezebel premiered last year on SXSW.
Union will play Jenna Jones, a woman hoping that her new job in beauty journalism represents a new beginning in her life, Deadline reports.
He soon learns that his new boss, Darcy, is his enemy. Jenna begins a relationship with the company’s cameraman, Eric, and things get complicated when she finds out that he is Darcy’s son.
Gabrielle Union began her career when she appeared in television sitcoms in the 1990s.
He went on to several supporting roles in teen comedy films, including She’s All That (1999) and 10 Things I Hate About You (1999).
That led to her breakout role in the teen comedy film Bring It On (2000).
His Hollywood resume also includes The Brothers (2001), Bad Boys II (2003), Deliver Us from Eva (2003), Neo Ned (2005), Daddy’s Little Girls (2007), Think Like a Man (2012), and Think Like a Man Too (2014), as well as Breaking In (2018).
