Eva Mendes (45), the American actress with Cuban roots, wants her daughters Esmeralda (4) and Amada (3) to learn Spanish, but that doesn’t go smoothly. She said that in the talk show ‘The Talk’.
Together with actor Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes has two daughters: Esmeralda and Amada. She tries to teach them some of her culture, she told in ‘The Talk’, but that is not easy. “We try to teach our children Spanish. That is more difficult than I thought because I speak Spanglish (a mix between English and Spanish, ed.) And that is what they also pick up, “Mendes sighed. “It’s very cute, but technically it’s not a language. So my little girl says things like: ” Mami, my boca hurts because I think something got stuck in my service .” Very cute, but she won’t get far with that. ”
The actress also told how she did not want children at first, but how Ryan Gosling made her change her mind. “It took some time. But yes, I was never one of those women who really wanted children, but then I fell in love with Ryan. And I thought: ‘Oh, now I get it, I don’t want any children, I want your children. I want your babies. ”The couple got to know each other in 2011 on the set of ‘The Place Beyond The Pines’. The oldest daughter Esmeralda was born in 2014, followed by Amada in 2016.
