Attila Szász and Norbert Köbli collaborated for the third time, and once again they had a historical theme.
The Eternal Winter Begins in 1944, when Soviet soldiers take away local women from a small village for forced labor. The protagonist Irén (Gera Marina), who is familiar with a man (Sándor Csányi) in the Gulag, has a special relationship with them.
The working relationship between Saxony and Köbli has led to two great historical films (Félvilág és A berni kastély) and their latest work does not seem to break this line. Here is the trailer:
The Eternal Winter will be shown on Duna TV on 25 February at 21:15.
