Emma Stone Joins SNL’s Five-Timers Club, Reveals Comedy Secrets in Upcoming Episode
As anticipation builds for this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live (SNL), Emma Stone, acclaimed actress of ‘Poor Things,’ is set to join the exclusive Five-Timers Club. Stone, who previously hosted SNL four times, will take the stage alongside musical guest Noah Kahan.
In the recently released black-and-white promo video, Stone dramatically makes her way to the iconic Studio 8H stage, posing a question to the empty room, “What’s the secret to comedy?” While the answer is revealed in the footage, Stone keeps viewers on the edge, showcasing her comedic timing and flair.
Stone’s return to SNL comes after her last hosting gig in April 2019 during season 44, where she shared the stage with the popular singing group BTS. The actress is now set to add another milestone to her SNL journey, entering the revered Five-Timers Club.
As fans eagerly await Stone’s hosting gig, her latest film, ‘Poor Things,’ is generating buzz. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, who previously collaborated with Stone on ‘The Favourite’ in 2018, the movie features an ensemble cast including Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, Christopher Abbott, and Jerrod Carmichael. ‘Poor Things’ is expected to hit theaters next month and places Stone back in the realm of Oscar contention.
SNL, currently in its 49th season, has unveiled its upcoming hosts and musical guests. Adam Driver is set to lead the December 9th episode with Olivia Rodrigo as the musical guest, while Kate McKinnon will make her hosting debut on December 16th with performances from Billie Eilish.
The most recent episode, which aired on November 18th, featured Jason Momoa, star of ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,’ as the host, accompanied by music from Tate McRae. The episode’s cold open, featuring Bowen Yang as a giant panda stealing attention from President Joe Biden (Mikey Day), garnered attention and laughs from the audience.
