The staff of the talk show ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ may distribute a bonus of 2 million dollars (more than 1.8 million euros), ‘Daily Mail’ reports. Ellen DeGeneres (64) would give her team the bonus because the end of her talk show is approaching.
The final episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show will air on May 26 , featuring former first lady Michelle Obama, among others. Ellen’s program has been on American television since 2003 and the presenter has presented a total of 19 seasons, consisting of more than 3200 episodes.
Last year it was announced that The Ellen DeGeneres Show would end after almost two decades. Ellen wanted to do something different, because she was no longer challenged in making her show. That announcement came after a period in which the presenter was under fire after a number of (former) employees from the school were applauded about a nasty atmosphere behind the scenes at the show. Three editors-in-chief were fired and Ellen donned the robes in her program.
