The fifth major update of the Horizon extension has just arrived on Elite Dangerous and it brings a new threat.
New … or almost! It is indeed a question of fighting the Thargoids, aliens well known for the frankness, and which appear in the recent patch 2.4, baptized “The Return” . It launches a new scenario arc in which the commanders will face a mysterious alien, who made his first appearance in the first Elite game in 1984.
Players will nevertheless have to deploy new strategies and discover new technologies in order to put an end to this threat to humanity.
After the first opus, the Thargoids were seen in Frontier: Elite II and Frontier: First Encounters . The events in this update take place 50 years after the events of First Encounters .
