Ed Sheeran, 31, sang to her at the conclusion of Queen Elizabeth’s jubilee celebrations on Sunday. The British singer performed in front of the gates of Buckingham Palace.
“It’s very rare to feel such a sense of togetherness”
Ed sang his hit song “Perfect” for Elizabeth. During the song, images of the Queen, her late husband Philip and the rest of her family were shown on a screen.
The singer told the BBC just before the performance that he continues to find it ‘surreal’ to perform for the British royal family. “I always have to pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming during these events,” said Ed, who also performed for the Queen during the 2012 anniversary.
The singer also likes the atmosphere in London. “It’s very rare to feel such a sense of togetherness.”
