Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson will receive a special prize next week during the presentation of the MTV Movie & TV Awards. The actor and wrestler may receive the Generation Award, the music channel announced on Thursday.

“Johnson is an icon in both movies and on TV and has become one of the most loved actors of our generation,” says Amy Doyle, manager of MTV and others. “Throughout his career, Johnson has proven to be the ultimate tough guy. The 47-year-old actor became known as a professional wrestler in the 90s. He still sporadically enters the ring. In 2002, Dwayne had his first lead role in a film: The Scorpion King. He has also appeared in the Fast and Furious series, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Baywatch, among others.
