Drew Barrymore, who has been single again since the summer of 2016, wanted to have a blind date. That has not succeeded, however, because she did not manage to arrange a date via a dating app.
“Since I was a teenager, I fantasize about a blind date,” says the 42-year-old actress to Ellen DeGeneres.
In 2016 Barrymore divorced director Will Kopelman and the bachelor actress decided to register with dating app Raya. “I heard that Amy Schumer had met her friend there, one night I went and signed up, but no one sent me a message.”
Barrymore, therefore, approached the men himself. “A man wrote: ‘What does someone like you do on a dating app?'” With another man, it came to a longer conversation. “I wrote to him:” If you feel like having a drink, that would be fun, but not in a hurry. “I never received any answer.”
New relationship
In December, the actress announced that she does not want a new relationship yet. “I get so much fulfillment from my daughters that I feel that my cup just floods,” Barrymore told in an interview with Instyle.
“I never thought I would be so happy without having a romantic relationship.”
Barrymore has daughters Olive (5) and Frankie (3) from her marriage with Kopelman. The actress has been married twice before him.
