Actress Dolly de Leon has received another honor for her role in “Triangle of Sadness” with a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards.
Following her historic nomination at the Golden Globe Awards, Dolly de Leon becomes the first Filipino actor to ever receive a nomination at the prestigious BAFTA awards.
Dolly de Leon is among the nominees for Best Supporting Actress at the BAFTA awards, which also includes Angela Bassett, Hong Chau, Kerry Condon, Jamie Lee Curtis and Carey Mulligan.
The film “Triangle of Sadness” in which Dolly de Leon plays the role of Abigail, a yacht staff member, has also received nominations for Best Original Screenplay and Best Casting at the BAFTA awards.
Dolly de Leon’s portrayal of Abigail has earned her 15 more international nominations, including the 48th Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards and The Satellite Awards 2022.
The BAFTA awards ceremony will take place on February 19th, and will be on February 20th in Manila.
