Dev Patel will play a role in The Personal History of David Copperfield, a film adaptation of Charles Dickens’ famous book David Copperfield.
Dickens’ book was published in 1850 and follows the life of David Copperfield, who was modeled after Dickens himself, from his poor youth to his successful career as a writer.
The script for the film was written by Veep writer Armando Iannucci and Simon Blackwell. Recordings for the film will start in London in June.
Patel was nominated for an Oscar in 2017 for his role in the movie Lionand was also featured in the films Slumdog Millionaire, The Last Airbender and Hotel Mumbai.
