All stars of the “Guardians of the Galaxy”, as we recall, publicly supported James Gunn after the director’s dismissal in connection with scandalous tweets, but Dave Batista is louder than the other disgraced creator of the two blockbusters Marvel. In a new interview, Dave admitted that James Gunn had changed his life – giving him a chance to try his hand at acting.
“I really love James,” said Batista on the air of Jonathan Ross’s show. “James really changed my life.”
The performer of the role of Drax, as many of his fans know, was originally a wrestler – and, following the example of another star of wrestling, Dwayne “Rocks” Johnson, into the actors, for a long time could not find a job. “Savior” Dave James Gunn, who gave him a role in “The Guardians of the Galaxy.”
“I fought, I tried, for three years I barely had enough money for food, I could hardly find at least some work,” recalls Batista. “Only a few people continued to believe in me at that moment, but it was James who became the one who changed my life.”
In addition, Dave hinted that he might not return to the role of Drax – especially now that the production of the “Guardians of Galaxy 3” has been stopped and the work on the film is postponed indefinitely. “I’m not happy with what James Gann did,” he says. “I already said that I feel, and I’m not afraid to repeat it again.”
