The American actress arrived during a videoconference of the young boy with the presenter James Corden.
A 13-year-old boy, who was to organize a Bar Mitzvah on the theme of his favorite series Friends this month , had to give it up because of the coronavirus. Instead, little Naftali decided to celebrate his birthday online with his family and a rabbi, by videoconference. An event that went viral on social networks, and which earned him a surprise visit (and 2.0) from a very special guest: Courteney Cox .
On Monday, the young fan was contacted by presenter James Corden, to talk about this somewhat special Bar Mitzvah, and his passion for the series. “A friend was so impressed with the organization of your Bar Mitzvah that she wanted to come and say hello,” said James Corden.
The interpreter of Monica Geller then connected, to the delight of Naftali. The young boy – who has already watched the ten seasons of the series seven times – did not fail to tell him how much he found it “incredible”. The American actress has promised her a table football, like the one found in Joey and Chandler’s apartment.
The entire cast of Friends must come together in a special issue, which will be posted on the HBO Max platform. Expected in May, this episode has been postponed due to the coronavirus. Filming could finally take place at the end of summer, for broadcast next fall.
This unprecedented program will not be a new episode of fiction, but a non-scripted project and a “celebration of this adored series”, during which the actors will meet to discuss the soap. A rare date: Courteney Cox revealed that she and her co-stars have only met twice since the series ended in 2004.
Twenty-five years after its debut, the Friends series continues to fascinate the public. And not only the nostalgic quadras of the 1990s, but also very young spectators fed on social networks … Like the young Naftali.
