Jimmie Allen has reached a settlement in the sexual assault lawsuit filed against him by one of his former managers, as confirmed by attorneys representing the accuser.
The woman, identified as Jane Doe, has dropped Allen from the lawsuit as part of the agreement, while continuing to pursue claims against the management firm, Wide Open Music, and one of its principals, Ash Bowers.
The lawsuit, initially filed last June, accused Allen of rape, sexual assault, and harassment. The plaintiff, who had served as Allen’s day-to-day manager, alleged manipulation and grooming into an abusive sexual relationship, spanning over a year. Despite Allen’s denial of wrongdoing, the plaintiff claimed she was subjected to non-consensual sexual encounters, feeling compelled to maintain the relationship for job security.
This settlement marks a significant development in the legal proceedings against Allen, who also faces another lawsuit filed by a different Jane Doe. The second lawsuit, also filed last June, alleges non-consensual ejaculation and filming of sexual activity without consent. As of now, this suit is ongoing, with Allen counter-suing the accuser.
Since the lawsuits emerged, Allen has faced professional consequences, being dropped by his label, management, agency, and publicist, in addition to being removed from high-profile appearances and affiliations within the country music industry. Despite projecting confidence on social media, Allen recently shared a more vulnerable side through a new song, reflecting on internal struggles.
While Allen’s future in the music industry remains uncertain, this settlement represents a significant chapter in the legal and personal challenges he faces.
