When Chris Hemsworth (39) was told last year that he had an extra chance of getting Alzheimer’s disease, he was devastated.
The news is also hard on his family: his wife Elsa Pataky (46) is afraid that she will not see her husband grow old and vice versa. She therefore decides to disguise herself as an older woman. While Chris unsuspectingly thinks he is going on a date with an elderly woman, his own wife turns out to be behind it.
The fragment is part of the documentary Limitless , in which Chris looks for ways to extend your life. During the making of this documentary, he also finds out that he is significantly more at risk for Alzheimer’s disease, because he has a genetic predisposition for it. This message hits him hard.
Worried that he will never see Chris grow old, his wife Elsa decides to surprise him by disguising herself as an elderly woman. Chris thinks he has a date with an elderly fan, but ends up having dinner with his own wife. When he recognizes her, he reacts very emotionally, as can be seen in this video.
