In a devastating announcement, it has been reported that Canadian actor Chris Gauthier, best known for his roles in popular TV series like “Once Upon a Time,” “Smallville,” and “Eureka,” has succumbed to an unspecified short illness at the age of 48, as confirmed by his management on February 23.
TriStar Appearances’ Chad Colvin, in a heartfelt statement posted on Facebook, expressed his shock and sorrow: “When his wife reached out to me yesterday with the news, I wept tears of disbelief for hours. It’s taken me til now to fully mentally and emotionally steel myself to write this.”
Colvin went on to praise Gauthier’s versatile talent, describing him as the epitome of a character actor. He highlighted Gauthier’s ability to leave a lasting impression, whether facing off against Clark Kent in “Smallville” as the Toyman, adding depth to Dean’s challenges in “Supernatural,” or portraying the memorable character Smee alongside Hook in “Once Upon A Time.”
