Taylor Swift Drops Surprise Vault Song to Celebrate Spotify’s 2023 Global Artist Title
In a delightful surprise for her dedicated fanbase, Taylor Swift released a new track titled “You’re Losing Me (From The Vault)” on Wednesday to commemorate her achievement as Spotify’s Global Top Artist for 2023.
Expressing her astonishment on social media, the Grammy-winning artist conveyed her gratitude to fans worldwide, stating, “Um ok, this is unreal?? I just wanted to say to anyone who listened to my music this year, anywhere in the world, thank you. Getting named Spotify’s Global Top Artist in 2023 is truly the best birthday/holiday gift you could’ve given me. We’ve seriously had THE MOST fun this year out there on tour and now this. Are you serious.”
Swift’s phenomenal success can be attributed to the staggering 26.1 billion global streams garnered from her albums Midnights, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), and 1989 (Taylor’s Version). Noteworthy artists such as Bad Bunny, Miley Cyrus, and The Weeknd also secured spots on Spotify’s most-streamed lists.
Swift continued, “So I was trying to think of a way to thank you, and a lot of you have been asking me to put “You’re Losing Me (From The Vault)” on streaming… so here you go! You can finally listen EVERYWHERE now.”
The accomplished singer-songwriter marked a record-breaking year with the release of two re-recorded albums, the launch of her global Eras Tour, and the debut of her concert film, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.” As of Monday, the film, released in October, has raked in an impressive $250 million in worldwide ticket sales, earning a spot among the top 20 highest-grossing films of 2023 and establishing itself as the most successful concert film of all time.
Adding to her list of achievements, Swift surpassed her own record last month with the re-released 1989 album, making it the best-selling album in America for 2023 within a week of its debut. Notably, this Taylor Version exceeded the first-week sales of the original 1989 album in 2014, marking a significant milestone in Swift’s illustrious career.
