“It was the intention that 2017 was all about new music and getting a baby,” says Underwood Sunday in CBS This Morning. “We became pregnant at the beginning of the year, but that went wrong”
The deeply religious American Idol winner found comfort in her faith. “At first I felt: okay, God, you have other plans, that’s good, we’ll get out again.”
After two more miscarriages, one in 2017 and this year the third, the singer wondered why it happened to her every time. Underwood, however, felt blessed with her son Isaiah and was, therefore, able to live with the idea that she might not be able to have children.
“What can I complain about? I can not, I have a great man, great friends, a great job, a great son, can I go crazy?”
The current pregnancy of Underwood is not entirely flawless. Two weeks ago she had to cancel two concerts in Great Britain because she had a violent virus. She ended up in the hospital for three days but has since recovered completely.
