Cardi B also gets a permanent place in Las Vegas. The rapper will give a number of performances in a new club in the Palms hotel.
Cardi tackles it differently than, for example, Celine Dion and Britney Spears, who really made their home from the gambling city and gave hundreds of concerts. The rapper returns several times during the year to club KAOS, which will be open day and night.
A so-called residency is popular among musicians, not least because such a concert series at a fixed location yields a lot of money. Elvis Presley performed more than 600 times in Las Vegas in the early 70s, Céline Dion broke that record by more than 700 times her show A New Day between 2003 and 2007. She is now working on a new series, Céline, for which she has given more than 400 performances. Both shows have yielded more than half a million per evening so far.
