“After two days of silence, Britney Spears has issued a statement addressing the recent police welfare check at her home.
The 41-year-old singer requested for her fans and media to respect her privacy, stating that “things went a little too far” and her privacy was invaded.
She mentioned that the police were called due to some prank phone calls and that they never entered her home and left immediately after realizing that there was no issue. She also expressed her disappointment with the media’s portrayal of the incident and the feeling of being gaslit and bullied. She concluded her statement with a plea for privacy and love for her fans.”

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office visited Britney Spears’ home in Thousand Oaks, California on Tuesday night due to concerns raised by fans after her Instagram account disappeared. Some believed that a now-deleted post where she reportedly changed her name to “River Red” was a code word for help.
In recent weeks, Spears’ social media activity has caused concern among some fans. This follows a TMZ report that claimed the singer had acted erratically at a restaurant. The report, which included a video, stated that Spears had spoken gibberishly and that her husband, Sam Asghari, had walked out. Asghari denied that any “manic episode” had occurred and an employee at the restaurant reportedly told a fan account that the report was inaccurate.
In 2021, Spears was released from her conservatorship after claiming that she had been suffering from conservatorship abuse. Her fans were instrumental in organizing the #FreeBritney movement, which gained global attention during her legal battle with her father, Jamie Spears.
