Brandi Glanville Accuses Bravo’s Andy Cohen of Sexual Harassment Amidst Ongoing Reality TV Controversies
In a recent development, former “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and “Ultimate Girls Trip” cast member Brandi Glanville has come forward with allegations of sexual harassment against Bravo’s prominent figure, Andy Cohen. The accusations surfaced through a detailed letter from Glanville’s legal representative, Bryan Freedman, addressed to NBCUniversal, Shed Media, and Warner Bros. Discovery – the parent company of Shed Media.
According to the letter, Glanville claims that Cohen, in an “inebriated” state, sent her a video message expressing his intention to sleep with another Bravo star while inviting her to watch via Facetime. The letter describes Glanville’s feelings of being “trapped” and “disgusted” by the nature of Cohen’s communication.
In response to the allegations, Cohen released a statement asserting that the video was a clear joke to Glanville and featured former “Below Deck” star Kate Chastain. Cohen acknowledged the inappropriateness of the situation and issued an apology.
This revelation comes on the heels of a lawsuit filed by Glanville’s castmate, Caroline Manzo, from the upcoming reality series “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,” where Manzo alleges sexual harassment and assault by Glanville during filming in Morocco. Manzo’s suit also accuses Bravo and its production arms of being aware of Glanville’s past misconduct but still hiring her to boost ratings for the new reality series.
Glanville’s legal representation, in the Feb. 22 letter, claims that the allegations against her in Manzo’s lawsuit have resulted in a “vicious media campaign” amounting to “character assassination” and financial ruin. The blame is directed towards NBC and Shed Media, accusing them of deliberately shaping consensual adult moments into a #MeToo scenario to sever ties with Glanville.
The letter reveals an ongoing investigation into the reality TV production process, with Glanville’s experiences serving as part of the broader “Reality Reckoning.” It emphasizes the preservation of evidence for potential litigation, directing recipients to take immediate steps to safeguard all relevant documents and data involving Glanville, NBC, Warner Bros., Shed Media, and Caroline Manzo.
As the reality TV industry faces increased scrutiny, Glanville’s case adds another layer to the ongoing controversies surrounding the treatment of individuals within the realm of reality television.
