Rough and Rowdy Ways , the artist’s 39th studio album, will be released on June 19. It is already available for pre-order.

Bob Dylan announced Friday the release of a new album,  Rough and Rowdy Ways . In stores on June 19, it will be the musician’s first album of original songs in eight years.

This 39th studio opus, composed of 10 titles, is already available for pre-order. The physical version will be available in double CD and double vinyl.

Fans suspected an imminent return of their idol. On March 26, the singer released Murder Most Fou l, a new 17-minute song dedicated to the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy – and incidentally, his first unreleased track in eight years. He then unveiled  I Contain Multitudes , a ballad, in which Bob Dylan talks about David Bowie, Edgar Allan Poe, Anne Franck, Indiana Jones, the Rolling Stones, Beethoven, as well as Frédéric Chopin.

Bob Dylan’s latest album with original and self-composed tracks,  Tempest , was released in 2012.
