Black Panther exceeds $ 500 million in North America

Black Panther , Marvel’s first black super-hero devoting a film, continues to lead the North American box office, scooping $ 66.3 million for its third weekend of operation and $ 501.7 million since its release.

This 18th film from the Marvel universe was directed by young director Ryan Coogler ( Creed , Fruitvale Station ), with a cast of some of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors: Chadwick Boseman, the Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o , Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Daniel Kaluuya, Michael B. Jordan, etc.

The film has kept on breaking records since its release and is now “the third film to have the fastest 500 million mark in North America,” according to Box Office Mojo.

And while he is coming out next week in China, Black Panther has already brought in nearly $ 900 million worldwide, he added.

The spy film with Jennifer Lawrence Red Sparrow reported much less for its release: $ 16.8 million in the United States and Canada.
